Jones High School turned their horns loose on Harrah last Thursday.
The Lady Longhorns recently secured their third win of the season with a 5-4 win over eastern Oklahoma County rival Harrah.
The visiting Panthers jumped to a 1-0 lead when Ava Barber scored off of an Elliott Creswell single in the first inning, but Jones answered in a big way scoring four in the second.
In the third inning, Harrah would keep things interesting scoring three of their own to tie it up at 4-4. Panther slugger Gabby Sawyer doubled to help setup the Harrah rally.
After spending three innings locked-up, JHS would walk away victorious after scoring in the bottom of the seventh.
Jones’ Brynlee Alsup would hit a line drive left to bring Kaylee Long home. Kinley Taylor made it to third base and was looking to add another point, but that wasn’t necessarily as the Lady Longhorns broke the dry spell with a late score to leave Harrah stunned.
Each squad produced six hits as Jones won 5-4.
